Zhoujiang Kindergarten Campus Design and Furniture Project
Zhoujiang Kindergarten is a large early learning project in China with a planned capacity of 500 children aged 3 to 6. Completed in 2025, the project brought together campus planning, classroom design, furniture production, outdoor playground development and on-site installation.
Bonibear worked across the project process to connect indoor learning spaces with active outdoor environments. Each classroom covers approximately 140 m², including a restroom and nap area, while also providing room for group learning, independent activities, storage, role play and reading. Outside, the campus combines a large themed playground with natural movement and exploration areas.

A kindergarten of this scale needs more than a collection of individual products. The classrooms, shared spaces and outdoor activity areas must work together as one coordinated learning environment.
The planning process considered the daily movement of children and teachers, the relationship between active and quiet areas, accessible storage, age-appropriate furniture and the need for flexible classroom use. The objective was to create clear functional zones without making the classrooms feel crowded or overfilled.
The outdoor plan also balanced high-energy play with open movement and nature-based activities. This allowed the campus to support different types of physical activity instead of relying on a single piece of playground equipment.
